School-based Teaching and Research Became Systematic and Comprehensive Practice Become Steadily
—— Special lecture on school-based teaching and research in the middle school attached to Sichuan University from 2018 to 2019
"School-based teaching and research of the whole staff" is one of the characteristics of our school. At the beginning of each semester, school-based teaching and research lectures have become a way of life for teachers.
At 4:00 p.m. on September 25, the last school-based teaching and research seminar of our school from 2018 to 2019, "Research on the Characteristics and Expressions of the Core Issues of the Comprehensive Practical Activities Course" was held on schedule in the school ladder classroom. This is a series of special lectures on integrated practical activity courses since last semester's "Research on School Curriculum Development". The lecture was chaired by Yi Hongling, the director of the teaching department. Vice-President Xiong Wenjun gave a special lecture on behalf of the school-based leading group of teaching and research. All the teachers and staff of the school participated in the training and learning of the special lecture.
Last semester's special lectures and continuous practice research (open courses, evaluation of teaching results, etc.) have given the whole school teachers a certain understanding of the development of integrated practical activity curriculum. This semester's school-based teaching and research topics are more concrete, focusing on the characteristics and expression of the core issues of integrated practical activity curriculum. Principal Xiong gives a detailed explanation from four aspects: the current research direction of school curriculum development, the requirement for the expression of the title of integrated practical activity curriculum, the characteristics and requirements of the core issues of integrated practical activity curriculum, and the brief explanation of "curriculum practice resource package". The lecture emphasized that the expression of the title of the integrated practical activity curriculum should conform to the three characteristics of "appropriateness, eye-catching and conciseness"; the core issues of the integrated practical activity curriculum should conform to the four characteristics of "practicality, comprehensiveness, active and research-based". For its expression requirements, President Xiong has also done detailed interpretation training combined with specific cases.
The convening of school-based teaching and research thematic lectures is the symbol of the formal beginning of school-based teaching and research. It is hoped that this semester's school-based curriculum development focusing on comprehensive practical activities, it will promote the common development of teachers and students better, and truly realize the educational and teaching objectives of training research students by research courses and research teachers, and make a solid step towards the "training-research" modern school.
